Tips for Ordering Cards or Invitations

 

Our cards and invitations are beautiful images based on fantasy with a touch of humour, placing ordinary people in extraordinary situations. After selecting your favourite fantasy image send us the photo of the person you are going to make a star! We take great care to make your card magical.

Once the image with your loved one has been created, we can add this to any of our other Personalised items. To order any of these with an image, please go to Cards & invites.

A great idea is to frame your card or invitation after your event has passed - a lovely way to remember your special event.
 

 

 

To order a card or invitation, go to Cards & invites, choose your favourite image and fill in the order form, ie:

Name. The name of the person that the card or invitation is for.

Gender. If you are ordering a card with more than one face, just pick one of these.

Upload photo to be inserted into the card. You can upload a maximum of 5 photos but we only need one and will choose the best one to fit the image. When ordering a card with more than one face, upload your photos and provide any comments if you want them used on certain bodies. Refer below for detail about photo quality and the best photos to upload.

Personalised message. If you would like a message added, double check your text for any spelling errors. We have great ideas for personalised messages – if you need inspiration look at our Facebook page for the perfect verse.

Special instructions. Add the event date of your celebration to ensure delivery on time or other special instructions.

Personalised items. Order any other items you would like to have the same image printed on (this will be the front card image). To see what all the personalised items look like, go to Personalised items.

FAQ for cards

I have a party and would like to invite 35 guests. Can you print this many and is there a bulk discount?

Certainly we can print as many items as you need. For invitations in particular we expect that you are going to need more than one invite (it would be a sad party!) We offer 20 packs of invitations and you can buy as many of these as you need to suit your occasion. For 20 packs of cards or invitations, the discounts are 20% off for 2 packs or more and 40% off for 4 packs or more.

Similarly we expect that you may need to buy more than one sheet of edible printed cupcake icing (for all those hungry little ones) and therefore there is a discount of 25% 2 or more sheets. Discounts will be applied in the Shopping Basket. 

Note: discounts will only be applied to cards or icing with the same image on it. 

I can't see a card or invitation which suits my occasion perfectly. Can you create one for me?

If you Contact us we can talk to you about your occasion and what you are after. We will also discuss with you the time we will need and the cost of doing a fully custom image.

If the photo that I want to send you is not at the right angle, does this matter?

It depends. For best results, send us a colour photo with the person facing directly at the camera and with no hat or head covering.

If we do not think that the photos you have uploaded are the best for the image, we will contact you immediately to get a better photo from you.

Will you tell me if my photograph is not good enough?

Yes we will contact you to select another photo. We recommend that you send us the highest quality photo that you have (eg 300KB - 2MB in size). This will make sure we can create a high quality card or invitation.  Remember we work off the photo you send, so make sure this is a photo that best represents the person. 

I have a photo taken by a professional photographer. Can I send you this?

It depends. By sending a photo to us with your order, you agree that you have written permission from the photographer to reproduce and distribute the photograph. We will not ask you to confirm this is the case but by placing an order and sending us such a photo you will indemnify Heads and Tales from any liability associated with the photo you have uploaded.

What photo formats do you accept?

We accept .jpg, .png, .bmp file formats.  We will contact you if there is a problem with the file you upload.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We generally post all orders within two weeks, if not earlier. Please order early to avoid disappointment. Refer to Shipping for further information about delivery times.

Can I reuse the same photo again for a new order?

Yes.

Do you provide a digital proof prior to sending the hard copy?

No. We will carefully check the quality of your card before sending it to print.  If we are not satisfied with your image we will contact you immediately and give you some options to rectify the situation.

Can I see a preview of my card online before I order?

All art work is created manually and this takes time.  Your magical image is only released when we are happy with the quality, there are no instantaneous images available.

Please note image colours on our website may vary slightly from the actual product you receive.

I have made a spelling mistake can you fix it?

Yes, please Contact us immediately and let us know of the mistake. We will start creating images and processing orders the following day after we receive your order so let us know straight away. Please review your text carefully.

What do you do with my photo once you have created the card or invitation?

Your photo is kept secure, under a file specific to you. This enables you to re-use the same image on other products anytime you like by emailing us.  If you would like this file removed you can Contact us and we will permanently remove your information from our system.

What is your returns policy?

We pride ourselves on the beautiful quality of our products. If you are not satisfied with the quality of your product please contact us immediately to resolve the issue. Based on our experience dealing with customers, we will always offer a resolution to the problem. Refer Returns for more detail.

I would like my card or invitation message to be in another language, can you do that?

Yes, we can. If you include your text in the "message" part of the card/invit ation  order, we will print this message on your card. Please double check your message text as we will not be able to proof read it for you. 

The skin colour of my special person is different to your image on the website. Can this be altered so the hands or feet skin colour match the photo I am sending you?

Yes we will match the skin tone to the photograph you have provided. Please make sure the photo you send accurately represents your special someone.
